Collab Hub

Description:

Many university students do not implement their projects because they are unable to find project partners. It can happen for various reasons: limited social networks, mismatched skills when forming project teams, or lack of communication skills. As a result, students miss out on academic, entrepreneurial, or social projects. It leads not only to students missing opportunities to develop skills and strengthen their resumes, but also prevents society from benefiting from their potential contributions to projects that could improve our lives. This project will efficiently tackle this issue by creating space for ambitious students to find partners to implement their projects.

Sunny Passion Programme

Objectives:

  • To develop an inclusive digital platform that helps students efficiently find suitable project partners.
  • To promote interdisciplinary collaboration among students from different colleges, majors, and backgrounds.
  • To empower students with limited social networks to participate in academic, entrepreneurial, and social projects.
  • To connect students with mentors who can provide guidance and support throughout their projects.

What social issue / problem will the project tackle?

Many university students do not implement their projects because they are unable to find project partners. It can happen for various reasons: limited social networks, mismatched skills when forming project teams, or lack of communication skills. This particularly affects first-year students, international and exchange students, as well as introverted individuals, who may have great ideas but lack skills to bring it to life.

How is the project different from other projects addressing the same social issue / problem?

While there are platforms for general networking, neither of them are centered around connecting students to implement their projects. Collab Hub is unique because it is specifically designed to help students achieve their dreams. The platform will operate on the principle of mutual benefit, connecting motivated students from various fields and different skillsets. In other words, unlike general networking tools, Collab Hub will focus exclusively on project-based collaboration. Every match could potentially lead to real-world impact, both for the students involved and for society as a whole.

Who will benefit if the project is implemented?

If the project is implemented there are several groups of people who will benefit:

  • Students, who find it difficult to find partners for their project.
  • Students, who want to develop their skills and strengthen their resume. (For example, a student wants to test his/her coding skills by trying something new, but has difficulty coming up with own original idea. By matching with someone who has good ideas and presentation skills but cannot code, a student could enter competitions and advance in his/her career)
  • Society: people, who will benefit from the projects students made because they were able to find the right partners or mentors on the platform
