宜居理想:綠色社區3D挑戰賽 Sunny Living Ideals: 3D Green Community Design Challenge

Description:

I am planning to organize a competition where participants will create a 3D model based on the theme of an ideal green community, to showcase their vision of a society that embodies green living. Participants will need to give a live presentation, lasting between 3 to 10 minutes, around their work to articulate their personal green philosophies. Following the presentation, there will be a 5-minute live Q&A session, and the scoring will be conducted by college professors. The goal of this event is to provide a platform and motivation for students with unique insights into green living to express themselves freely. At the same time, through the sharing of participants, students who are interested in green living can gain exposure to diverse visualizations of green communities, understand the thoughts of their peers, and through questions and discussions, enhance their understanding of this field.

Event Overview
This planned competition centers on the theme of "The Ideal Green Community" and requires participants to create 3D models that concretely illustrate their personal vision of a society that embodies green living principles. The event consists of two phases: preliminary and final. Participants must first submit their works and accompanying descriptions online for the preliminary round. Those who pass this screening will advance to the finals; during the finals, participants will need to give a 3-10 minute live presentation about their work and engage in a 5-minute live Q&A session, with scores provided by college professors. The goal of this competition is to provide a platform for students interested in green living to express and exchange ideas.

Benefits of the Event

  • For students with unique insights: Provides a dedicated platform and motivation to freely discuss green living concepts, allowing them to fully convey their personal creativity and thoughts through 3D models and live sharing, and to receive feedback and recognition from professional judges (college professors).
  • For students interested in green living: Through the works and sharing of participants, students can encounter diverse visual representations of green community concepts, intuitively understand different ideas among their peers, and further enrich their understanding of the green living field through final round live Q&A and discussions, broadening their perspectives.

Features of the Event

  • Visual expression: With 3D models as the core medium, distinct from traditional text or 2D creations, this approach makes the concept of green communities more tangible and impactful, offering a unique experience of "diverse visual presentation."
  • Layered screening mechanism: The initial competition phase includes preliminary screening to ensure the quality of the entries that progress to the finals, guaranteeing a high-quality exchange of ideas and concepts during the finals.
  • Strong interactivity and professionalism: The finals include live presentations and Q&A sessions, enhancing the interaction between participants and judges/audience; also, with scoring by college professors, the professionalism and credibility of the evaluations are ensured.
  • Peer perspective focus: Centered around the creativity and sharing of the student group, emphasizing "peer idea exchange," which makes the transmission of green concepts more relatable to student cognition and more likely to resonate.

Event Plan Details

  • Preliminary stage: Submissions are made online, where participants must upload their 3D models (DIY handmade models or 3D printed displays are acceptable) along with a description of up to 1000 words (explaining the design concept, green elements, thoughts on the ideal green community, etc.). Entries will be screened based on creativity and alignment with green concepts.
  • Final stage: Those who pass the preliminary round will move on to the live finals, where they must prepare physical 3D models, and complete a 3-10 minute live presentation about their work. Following the presentation, a 5-minute live Q&A session will take place (primarily questions from judges and the audience). Finally, college professors will score based on work quality, live presentation, and Q&A performance to determine the final results.

Message to Participants
The ideal of green living is hidden in everyone’s unique vision of "community," in the spark of creativity and practice. We look forward to every student who thinks about and is passionate about green living to bring your 3D models and fresh ideas into this competition. Whether it’s the design and textual collision during the preliminary rounds or the sharing and interaction in the finals, each is a valuable exploration of the "ideal green community." May this competition serve as your stage for self-expression and a chance for all students to broaden their green horizons collectively, bringing together diverse green concepts for a more vibrant living ideal to take root. Let us through this competition, materialize, visualize, and share our ideas!
