Objective
The objective of this proposal is to introduce an engaging and inclusive activity that combines the benefits of yoga and Taekwondo. This activity aims to provide participants with a unique experience that enhances their physical fitness, mental well-being, and self-discovery. In addition, incorporating yoga into our training regimen serves as a gentle warm-up, gradually awakening and preparing our muscles for the more intense taekwondo exercises that follow. This progressive approach helps our participants be ready for the physical demands of taekwondo.

Session Outline
1. Warm-up and Centering:
- Begin the session with a yoga-inspired warm-up to prepare the body and mind.
- Incorporate gentle stretches, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques to promote relaxation, focus, and connection with the present moment.
2. Yoga-Based Flexibility and Balance Exercises:
- Transition into a series of yoga postures and flows that emphasize flexibility, balance, and body awareness.
- Include poses such as Warrior poses, Tree pose, and Eagle pose, which can enhance strength, stability, and concentration – important elements in Taekwondo.
3. Taekwondo Techniques and Forms:
- Incorporate basic kicks, punches, and blocks from Taekwondo training, emphasizing proper form, technique, and body alignment.
4. Flow and Combination Movements:
- Explore the fluidity between yoga and Taekwondo by creating flow sequences that transition between yoga postures and Taekwondo movements.
- Link yoga poses with Taekwondo kicks or punches, allowing participants to experience the harmony between the two practices.
5. Mindful Cool-down and Relaxation:
- End the session with a cool-down period that incorporates gentle stretching and deep relaxation.
- Guide participants through a guided meditation or visualization, encouraging them to release tension and find a sense of inner calm.
Sensory Stations
To enhance the participants' overall experience and create a multisensory environment, we propose the inclusion of sensory stations that engage the five senses:
1. Sight: Decorate the space with visually appealing elements like colorful mats, or inspiring quotes.
2. Sound: Play soothing music during the yoga-inspired warm-up and transition to energizing Taekwondo music.
3. Touch: Incorporate textured props or mats for participants to feel different sensations under their hands or feet.
4. Smell: Use essential oils or scented candles to create a pleasant aroma in the environment.
5. Taste: Offer healthy refreshments or infused water with refreshing flavors for participants to enjoy during breaks.
