A signature of Wu Yee Sun College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is its Creativity Laboratory (c!ab) located on UG/F. c!ab is an intellectual playground for our students to explore ideas across disciplines, to quench their curiosity, to put playfulness back into their learning.
c!ab is located in the middle of the College campus, representing College’s commitment in creating an intimate and dynamic learning atmosphere for students to develop the drive for creativity and innovation. To encourage and support more students in enhancing and unleashing their creativity in different aspects, in early 2014, the College has appointed the College Honorary Advisor (Design Thinking) Mr. Bernard Y.S. Suen, as Director of Creative Laboratory, and our College Associate Master and Dean of General Education, Professor Sunny K.S. Kwong, to chair an Advisory Committee of Creativity Laboratory. Members of the Advisory Committee include also the College Dean of Students Professor Annisa C.H. Lee and Director of Centre for Innovation and Technology Professor K.F. Wong.
c!ab furnished with tools and equipment with wall coated in ideapaint, enabling students to freely express their imagination. The College has adopted students’ suggestions and has acquired a number of new equipment for students to facilitate their learning which include iMac, digital camera, video camera, lighting equipment, sewing machine etc. The items will be available to students who have completed our training workshops to be held at the start of the academic year.
