1st Progress Update:
Throughout this project, we successfully progressed from initial material trials to producing functional prototypes that demonstrate the versatility and practicality of our rice-husk fibreboard. This innovative material, which uses only a natural binder without PU or hardwax oil, has proven to be a viable option for furniture applications.
(1） 活動旨在針對「2030永續發展目標」的「健康與福祉」及「責任消費及生產」。透過教授手作工作坊，結合五感體驗，幫助參加者放鬆身心，提升參加者的心理健康，促進青年健康生活模式。同時，透過教授製作環保香包及小挂飾能推廣綠色經濟及環保藝術，確保永續消費及生產模式。
(2) How is the project different from other projects addressing the same social issue / problem?
本活動期望結合推廣書院、校内及社區内的環保藝術風氣，現階段已經遞交大埔區民政事務處主辦的「心願夜市」市集申請表，期望不只是在書院及校内舉辦手作工作坊，更能夠走出校園，到社區内推廣正向及綠色生活的價值觀。
(3) Who will benefit if the project is implemented?
任何參與手作工作坊的書院學生、本校學生、社區青年及參與大埔區民政事務處主辦的「心願夜市」市集的公衆將能夠深入了解到環保手作、善用生活中可重用材料製作手作。同時，活動旨在透過視覺、聽覺、嗅覺及觸覺鼓勵參加者放鬆身心、關注個人心理健康及培養環保藝術的興趣。
To promote workplace inclusion for the hard-of-hearing and deaf community, YeeConnect is a self-sustaining project for developing a self-paced online corporate training course targeting hearing employees, with the advice from the deaf research assistant from the Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies (CSLDS) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr. Kenny Chu. The course targets small and medium-sized corporations during initial operation, especially those concerned about inclusion or planning to employ deaf or hard-of hearing in the future.
The target buddies for our platform are divided into four distinct groups to cater to the diverse needs of students seeking guidance. The first group consists of individuals who have transferred to the same major the candidate is interested in, providing direct and relevant advice based on their shared academic path. The second group includes students currently studying the major the candidate wants to transfer to, offering valuable insights into the program’s structure, challenges, and opportunities.
Hong Kong lacks variety in sports, let alone e-sports. There are limited
options for the community to choose from. This project will serve the
purpose to introduce a new kind of sports into society, increasing the
diversity of Hong Kong’s sports, popularize e-sports in Hong Kong, giving
more options for people to learn and get their interest. Discover more
talents in Hong Kong and get e-sports to be recognized as an official sport
